Kids are so open to the supernatural.

• They hear His voice quickly.
• They have faith to activate any miracle.
• They see God.
• They run toward the impossible.
• They don’t doubt God.
• They take risks.
• They want to dive into His presence.
• They challenge us to grow.

We, the leaders of a supernatural kids movement, have the choice to challenge the child or hold him back. We can speak about the Holy Spirit and the giftings that the Holy Spirit has for each believer. But if we have never had a supernatural encounter with God, we will never fully be able to grow.

Kids know when the teacher knows what he is talking about and when he doesn’t. Kids have faith, and the adults have faith mixed with doubts. If you go looking for a miracle on the street, the kids will take you to the woman in a wheelchair, while sometimes the adult is looking for someone with a cough.

We can’t help children process the supernatural if we don’t walk in the supernatural.

I was in Misiones, Argentina, at a kids camp, and the kids said, “We want to see Jesus.”

I said, “Let’s look for Him.”

They ran outside and fell on the ground next to a fence. I watched them weep in the Spirit. They were next to a fence with tall grass, and all I kept thinking was they are going to get bit by a snake. I was about to say, “Come on, kids. Let’s go back inside,” and I heard a voice say, “Let the little children come unto me.”

I heard my daughter say, “Jesus grabbed my hand.” Another said, “He kissed me.” Another said, “He hugged me so tight.”

 I wanted to see Jesus so bad, but I never did. I could feel a sweet presence but didn’t see anything. I began to weep, and my feet felt the fire.

We had tried to get the kids to pray all night long, and they were sitting at Jesus’ feet, wanting to spend time with him. They stayed out there for hours, loving on Jesus. I thought, What if I had stopped them because it was a little weird?  I am so glad I didn’t. They saw Jesus and wanted to stay in His presence. I learned from the children that night.

Later, the Lord led me to the passage in Luke 10:19-24. It talks about God giving us the “authority to trample on snakes.” I laughed. My favorite part of this passage is verse 21: “I praise you Father, Lord of heaven and earth, because you have hidden these things from the wise and learned, and revealed them to little children.”

Jesus has revealed himself to the children. We can learn so much from them as we help them walk in the supernatural. Don’t be afraid to challenge your faith. Then in verse 23: “Blessed are the eyes that see what you see. For I tell you that many prophets and kings wanted to see what you see but did not see it, and to hear what you hear but did not hear it.”
