Eighty percent of children who receive Christ under the age of 12 serve Him for the rest of their lives.

Kids need to know what they believe in order to walk in their faith. They need to know the undiluted gospel and about the power of the blood of Jesus. They need to know that Jesus died for their sins and rose from the dead. They need to hear Jesus, Jesus, Jesus at home, in the car on the way to school, and every opportunity we as parents and children’s leaders can expose our children to Jesus.

Kids need to know how to hear the Father’s voice.

They have to make the gospel personal. It has to be something they understand and embrace.

They need the baptism of the Holy Spirit. Having an encounter with the Holy Spirit and being filled with the Holy Spirit gives the child the authority and the boldness they need to share their faith. It gives them words when they don’t know what else to pray, gives them power when they feel weak, and reveals the mysteries of Jesus.

We, as adults, need to be approachable so children feel comfortable in asking questions. We need to talk to kids about the miracles in the Bible and then challenge them to take risks in looking for miracles in their day-to-day lives. Miracles make living out our faith so much more fun.

Our kids need to see us having our daily devotions. For our kids to go to church and hear about God on Sundays isn’t enough for them to choose Jesus in their adult years. They need Jesus every day.

We need to teach our kids to pray, that there is power in prayer, and that Jesus answers prayer.

Activating children’s faith is so important. They are born with faith. Faith without limits. Faith without walls. We need to encourage kids, activate their giftings, and disciple them so that they can grow.
