Because I know your desire is for greater impact than just a “bigger” event and “more eggs” than last year. Because I know you desperately want to present the gospel effectively and put your best foot forward. Because every children’s pastor will be tempted to feel defeated because of the smallest imperfection… I want to offer this prayer on your behalf. 

Heavenly Father,

In the grace that you extend to the sinner, would you help your servants know that grace is also for them. In their efforts for excellence that may fall short, please prevent the enemy from planting seeds of discouragement. 

As they pray and plan and focus on the smallest of details, please go before them and give favor. Help them not to lose site of their own enjoyment of this world’s greatest moment in history—Your Son’s resurrection.  

Please provide moments of rest so their mind may dwell on just how wide, and deep, and long is your love. May they never leave your thoughts and heart. 

And as they grasp the hope that comes from the knowledge of the resurrection and Your power over the grave, may it become contagious to the leaders, parents, and kids they minister to. 

Bless the children’s leaders this Easter. May their hearts be filled with rejoicing as they celebrate Your love and resurrection power.
